Clifton Lodge Vets opened in 1950 in Hartlepool. Since then we have become a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice in Hartlepool and across our branches in Billingham, Horden and Sedgefield. We offer an impressive variety of veterinary services including an experienced veterinary team, a well-equipped in-house laboratory, surgical theatres, digital x-ray along with a team of registered veterinary nurses, students and assistants.

Mr Murphy graduated from Glasgow University in July 1984. He moved to the North East in 1986 and worked in various small animal practices before settling in Sunderland with his young family. He began working at Roker Park Veterinary Centre in August 1995 and replaced Jim Cowell as partner to John Pattinson in 1999. John retired in 2007. Mark now runs the practice with his wife and Practice Manager, Tracy.

We have had a vision about creating a special cat only veterinary practice that we would all like to work in because it is the kind of place we would choose to bring our own cats and family. This is the only totally self contained cat only vet practice in the North of England, based on the borders of Durham and Sunderland.
