After attending Art College, the founder trained in a Debeers Designer workshop in St Albans then worked in Nottingham, Bideford and finally Bristol. Gems was originally a workshop established in Bristol in 1976, offering a jewellery repair and manufacturing service to trade customers.
Alexander Woodward is a Somerset based independent jewellery designer and maker. He lives in the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Clevedon and his work is inspired by nature and the maritime history of the local area. All jewellery is handmade from sterling silver in his workshop in Clevedon.
