I began my career by studying Chemistry (BSc (Hons), C.Chem, MRSC) and Engineering (MSc, C.Eng, MAPM, FIET), and now use my problem solving abilities and passion for Chinese Medicine, to look at how best to start restoring peoples health and well being.

This site exists not only to advertise my practice, but also to tell you a little about myself and about acupuncture therapy. Hopefully this will help you to decide if you would like to have acupuncture treatment and whether I am the right choice of practitioner for you.

Acupuncture is long recognized as an effective treatment for physical and emotional health. Relied upon in the east for over two thousand years, now widely used in the west, its good reputation and popularity grows. Acupuncture gets to the main cause of symptoms, providing relief from long standing complaints, improving sleep, energy levels, coping abilities and reducing minor ailments.

Under the influence of his father, who is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine professor in China, Dr. Yu started his early education in this field when he was only 5 years old. When he was 15, he was chosen as one of a few to enter Shaonianban, a special programme for gifted youngsters, at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is an 8-year full-time programme, which included curriculum from Chinese medicine to western medicine, from acupuncture to herbal medicine, from practical skills to ancient classics.

Chadderton acupuncture is a private practice run by Ella Dunbar (PhD, BSc) a qualified acupuncturist and naturopath. The practice is located in a quiet residential area (private house) in North Chadderton near Oldham, and offers a welcoming and relaxing environment with modern high quality facilities.

Acupuncture is widely considered to be beneficial for a range of illnesses and symptoms, from clearly defined complaints such as back and dental pain, headaches, vomiting and neck ache to more general symptoms such as nausea or low energy.

Truly Therapeutic was established by Paula Campbell in 2012 with the view of providing a seamless, professional health and wellbeing service that offers a variety of therapies, all available in one place. People and their problems are often multi-factorial and we can therefore help people achieve their goals and needs and address any problems in a holistic and timely manner.
