The Essence Nail & Beauty Salon was established more than 15 years ago by owner Cathryn Robinson. Today, it remains a thriving business with four specialist beauty therapists working for the Salon.

We're a small beauty salon situated in the heart of Macclesfield on Mill Street above 'Be Hairdressing' and offer treatments spanning from manicures, pedicures and waxing to facials, massages and tanning.

At 'The Hair and Beauty Retreat' we pride ourselves on the friendly, warm and relaxed atmosphere of our salon, our clients regular and new, tell us that this makes us different. Northwich offered little in the way of exercise, there was no local gym or exercise programmes available for ladies to relax and be pampered. After her daughter started at Cransley School, Anthea joined a few local classes in fitness and beauty. Exercise is imperative to Anthea as she ran for Manchester as a teenager, but nothing excited her and she set about researching alternative keep fit programmes for like-minded people.
