Northwich offered little in the way of exercise, there was no local gym or exercise programmes available for ladies to relax and be pampered. After her daughter started at Cransley School, Anthea joined a few local classes in fitness and beauty. Exercise is imperative to Anthea as she ran for Manchester as a teenager, but nothing excited her and she set about researching alternative keep fit programmes for like-minded people.
