Holistic osteopathy is a hands-on therapy which is known for helping to alleviate the symptoms of all kinds of muscular and joint pain. The treatment involves treating the person as a whole and not just treating the part of the body that causes pain and dysfunction. In osteopathy we aim to find the cause of the problem rather than just treating the affected part. Beginning with an initial assessment, the process of treatment can include massage, articulation of the spine and joints of the body, manipulation, traction, posture training, cranial technique, relaxation, ultrasound, exercises, rehabilitation and counselling and advice.
