My name is Sally and welcome to my page. I am committed to providing psychotherapy and counselling in a safe and confidential environment. I am able to work in short term counselling work and longer term in psychotherapy. I am trained to work in many areas particularly Trauma, Depression, Anxiety and Relationship difficulties. The full list is detailed further down this page. My qualifications enable me to work with Adults, Relationship Counselling (2 people) and Young person's Counselling. I work from both Weymouth and Dorchester.

I have worked as a Psychotherapist for 21 years and prior to this worked in the helping professions throughout my career.This means that I have experience and skills to help a range of individuals, couples or small groups, dealing with different issues or problems. I can also assess whether I might be the best person to help, and if not, I can suggest other resources.

I have been an Educational Psychologist for over 20 years. I now work in independent practice with private clients on an individual basis, but I have worked with the NHS and Local Authorities, as well as with a wide range of schools, colleges and universities.

We are providers of psychotherapy, counselling, supervision, and training workshops in St Austell, Cornwall. We offer individual, skype, couple, and group therapy, and professional services to qualified / trainee counsellors and psychotherapists.

Counselling is a way of sharing in confidence, what troubles us and how we feel, with a trained Counsellor who will not judge us... or what we say. The Counsellors at Ocean Counselling are experienced at helping people with their problems, difficulties, losses and life situations.

The above are just a few examples of the areas I work with using hypnosis, so do enquire if your issue isn't listed. I feel it's important to understand that you don't have to 'believe' you can change, you just need to 'want' to change. The belief kicks in once you see change beginning to happen.

My love of animals and nature has led me to explore the ways in which I can include the healing spirit of nature in my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist. For issues which are really difficult to put into words we may work with the creative arts, sand tray, mindfulness and sometimes in the outdoors amongst nature itself. I am happy to work with children, teenagers and adults.

Dr Aldridge is committed to providing a highly professional and prompt service offering both psychological therapy and intervention, and assessments for Court in the area of Family Law. The psychology practice is based in Somerset with a consulting room in the centre of Taunton. Dr Aldridge is able to travel within a wide geographical area for the purposes of assessments for Court.
