Please note that I currently accept new clients *only* for Sandplay Therapy and Sound/Gong Therapy. I am also offering clinical supervision for psychotherapists and counsellors, and have a space for one supervisee, please enquire.

When the other person is hurting, confused, troubled, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another.

Acknowledging that you need help or support doesn’t mean you are weak, self-indulgent or crazy. Considering the ever growing demands of the modern world, where many people constantly juggle family and work commitments often without the benefit of traditional support networks of previous generations, counselling could be seen as a necessity rather than a luxury.

There are always times when we all need a bit of help. I believe that an actual strength lies in asking for it. I provide confidential psychotherapeutic treatments tailored to suit each individual.

I am a qualified psychotherapist working with individuals and couples for therapy and counselling. I work with a range of issues including: anxiety, depression, panic attacks, attachment & relationship difficulties, couples counselling, bereavement, loss & grief, loneliness, overworking, ocd symptoms, lack of confidence, stress, trauma & abuse, shame based difficulties, eating and body based difficulties amongst many others.

Impact was established over 20 years ago by Shelly Rubinstein, a leading Chartered Psychologist. Shelly had a passionate aim; to help organisations to grow through releasing the potential of their people and to bring business psychology into organisational best practice.

I have practised as a therapist for fifteen years. After a career in both industry and higher education I trained as a psychotherapist. I have been involved in the work of five local counselling services as well as being in private practice. I have worked with a diverse client base; individuals or couples of all ethnic origins and sexuality and all adult ages.
