Mr Murphy graduated from Glasgow University in July 1984. He moved to the North East in 1986 and worked in various small animal practices before settling in Sunderland with his young family. He began working at Roker Park Veterinary Centre in August 1995 and replaced Jim Cowell as partner to John Pattinson in 1999. John retired in 2007. Mark now runs the practice with his wife and Practice Manager, Tracy.

We are a family based small animal practice in Ingleby Barwick opened by Penny and Derek Copeland in 1999. Our aim is to provide you and your pet with the highest medical and surgical standards in a kind and caring environment.

Clifton Lodge Vets opened in 1950 in Hartlepool. Since then we have become a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice in Hartlepool and across our branches in Billingham, Horden and Sedgefield. We offer an impressive variety of veterinary services including an experienced veterinary team, a well-equipped in-house laboratory, surgical theatres, digital x-ray along with a team of registered veterinary nurses, students and assistants.

We offer a full range of veterinary services for the Chester Le Street area, and welcome clients from the surrounding areas. Currently, clients of the practice also live in Consett, High Spen, Gateshead, Washington, Sunderland, Seaham, Mutron, Durham and Peterlee, but you should consider travel time in an emergency situation from addresses to our out of hours service provider when making your choice of veterinary practice, as our small animal out of hours service is now provided by Wear Referrals, Bradbury. We are a mixed animal practice set in rural Co Durham, first established in the late 1930’s. Your animal is our priority and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
