Established in 2009, our modern veterinary practice underwent a complete renovation to include 3 consulting rooms, diagnostic and operating facilities and the only digital radiography equipment in the area. We pride ourselves in offering a high quality, professional service with a personal touch.

We aim to provide trusted clinical care and high level of personal service in a friendly and sympathetic practice. We understand the importance of the wellbeing of your pets and aim to make the experience of visiting the vets as pleasant a one as possible.

Dragon Vets are here to give you and your pet the best care available. If something does go wrong, we offer a comprehensive range of first opinion preventative, diagnostic, medical and surgical veterinary services for pets in Washington, Sunderland and South Tyneside area.

We understand that choosing your vet is one of the most important decisions a pet owner can take. Our three Orchard House Veterinary Centres are independent and family owned, and specialise in pets (plus the occasional chicken, owl and wallaby). Orchard House is the local, community-focused choice. Our clients value our high standards of care for them and their pets. Our staff are highly qualified, caring and approachable.

We offer a full range of veterinary services for the Chester Le Street area, and welcome clients from the surrounding areas. Currently, clients of the practice also live in Consett, High Spen, Gateshead, Washington, Sunderland, Seaham, Mutron, Durham and Peterlee, but you should consider travel time in an emergency situation from addresses to our out of hours service provider when making your choice of veterinary practice, as our small animal out of hours service is now provided by Wear Referrals, Bradbury.
