I trained at the University of Liverpool School of Architecture, 1972-1977, and was elected to the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1980. I gained wide experience during 15 years in the National Health Service. Within this organisation I undertook a variety of roles with a focus on design, research and the monitoring of standards. I progressed from Senior to Principal Architect.
