Shires Construction is a family business, established by Simon Porter. Simon began his career in building 25 years ago in Buckinghamshire before moving with his young family to Devon over ten years ago and founding Shires.

For just over a Century we have been established as a family run firm of general builders and traditional restoration experts for some of Devon’s finest old & new houses. We are based in the well known village of Moretonhampstead, right on the north tip of Dartmoor National Park. Whilst we specialize in the restoration of listed and older buildings, we also undertake any type of building job ranging from small repairs to new build domestic and commercial structures.
