Our heritage and experience goes back three generations of the same family within the catering industry. Charcoal is a small catering company made up of a team of like-minded passionate foodies, run by chef James Horrigan. James is a local boy that has had a love for food for as long as he can remember. His early culinary career saw him heading up the kitchens of some of Westons best restaurants from 'The Thatch' to 'The Commodore Hotel'. But his dream was to one day run his own catering company that would specialise in delicious smoked and barbecued foods using only locally sourced meats from the Somerset area. And so Charcoal was born.

We're proud of our reputation for inspired bespoke menus and seamless event management. From intimate private dinner parties and large-scale weddings to slick corporate events and rip-roaring celebrations, we'll make sure it's all in hand.
