Charcoal is a small catering company made up of a team of like-minded passionate foodies, run by chef James Horrigan. James is a local boy that has had a love for food for as long as he can remember. His early culinary career saw him heading up the kitchens of some of Westons best restaurants from 'The Thatch' to 'The Commodore Hotel'. But his dream was to one day run his own catering company that would specialise in delicious smoked and barbecued foods using only locally sourced meats from the Somerset area. And so Charcoal was born.

With over 20 years’ experience gained across the event management, restaurant and food manufacturing, John Ginster Catering has the expertise and track record to cater for the most challenging of culinary needs.

We pride ourselves on providing a variety of freshly prepared home cooked foods using locally sourced ingredients. Our menu’s vary from standard buffet foods including fork buffets, working lunches and packed lunches to hot meals and formal 3-course dinners inclusive of homemade desserts, cakes and hot beverages.
