We have grown oysters at Butley Creek since the 1950’s and our traditional smokehouse supplies freshly smoked fish every day, whilst out fishing boats provide a variety of locally caught fresh fish.
Fish Dish Fish and Chips Restaurant opened its doors on 5th of July 2013 for the first time. Ever since then it gets more and more popular, not only for great location right on the seafront, but especially for its perfectly cooked traditional fish and chips - fried in beef dripping and served with slice of bread and butter.
Chippy's is a family run business which was established in 1954 by our grandparents Mick & Ivy Brimsden and our parents Chuck & June Edwards at The Old Fish & Chip Shop in the market town of Clare, Suffolk.
Horace and Celia Cooney bought the fish and chip shop from Mr Cooper in 1967. Mr Cooper, originally from Yorkshire, taught them to fry in beef dripping. Their son Peter was 11 years old.
