Thaxted Yoga is delighted to invite you to our lovely studio location just over a mile from Thaxted town centre. Easily accessible from Saffron Walden, Great Dunmow, Stansted Mountfitchet, Bishops Stortford and surrounding villages, and about 45 min to an hour from London, our studio boasts stunning views over the Essex countryside, lush greenery (including our moss wall and living pictures) and a warm and welcoming escape from the pressure of everyday life.
Yoga was first introduced to the Western world as a result of colonisation of India during the 18th and 19th centuries. Indian teachers of yoga travelled west and ancient texts were translated.
I'm Salome Chasey Williams. I have been teaching yoga since 2008 and pregnancy yoga since 2010. I am passionate about helping women to improve and enjoy their experience of pregnancy and birth using a range of techniques including increased information, mindfulness, yoga and breath awareness. My teaching is non dogmatic and humorous and I love working with mummies to be who often come back for subsequent pregnancies.
I am originally from Germany but have almost lived more years outside Germany than in. Places which have formed me are Australia, South Africa, France and different parts of the UK. Yoga found me first in South Africa in 1999, but somehow the timing wasn’t right.
I live in Hampshire and teach yoga, offering pregnancy, postnatal, baby, and hath a yoga in the Alton, Alresford, Basingstoke, Winchester and Old Alresford areas.
