Yoga is a delightful practice, proven to help you stay calm, strong, flexible and balanced. ​​ Lotus Leaf is a small indie yoga practice of around fifty members. The practice exists because we enjoy cultivating a sense of calm, strength, flexibility and balance together on a regular weekly basis.

The word yoga comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language. It is a derivation of the word yuj, which means yoking, as in a team of oxen. In contemporary practice, this is often interpreted as meaning union. Yo-ga is said to be for the purpose of uniting the mind, body, and spirit.

I’d always been drawn to yoga for years but never really looked very hard to find a teacher or venue to follow it through. I’d been to the odd sports centre yoga class or recorded a TV session to do in my lounge at home. None of it worked for me but for some reason it didn't put me off either.
