From Portsmouth you can then take a ferry/hovercraft to the Isle of wight. Upper Mount House was built in 1851 by our famous local architect Thomas Owen, known locally as "Thomas Owen Southsea". We are very proud to share this unique building with all our guests.

The guest house is open all year, centrally heated and has ample car parking space and secure cycle storage for you. The lift to the seafront is only a three minute walk away, and the Town Centre, with Rail and Bus links to the whole island is just five minutes.

The Britannia Guest House has seven bedrooms, four are ensuite, and offers excellent flexibility for small family groups. There is one single room with adjacent bathroom that can be combined with a family or remain separate for single occupancy.
