WE OPENED THE CLAREMONT over 25 years ago to provide comfortable and affordable accommodation on the Isle of Wight. The guest house is open all year, centrally heated and has ample car parking space and secure cycle storage for you. The lift to the seafront is only a three minute walk away, and the Town Centre, with Rail and Bus links to the whole island is just five minutes.

The name ‘Trevarner’ is Cornish, translated it means ‘Home of a Mariner’ and it reflects our Cornish roots and interests in all things maritime, from Lobster fishing in Cornwall through to sailing yachts and small dinghy sailing here on the Solent.

Situated in the heart of Gosport, Domaine Guesthouse is five minutes walk from the local shops and ferry to Portsmouth. The ferry only takes ten minutes. From Portsmouth you can then take a ferry/hovercraft to the Isle of wight. Upper Mount House was built in 1851 by our famous local architect Thomas Owen, known locally as "Thomas Owen Southsea". We are very proud to share this unique building with all our guests.
