I first discovered yoga in the mid 90’s while travelling in India with my boyfriend, (now husband), Jeff. Initially I was reluctant but the more I practiced, the more I began to feel the physical and mental benefits: what started as a weekly yoga class became a daily yoga and meditation practice.

Trinity — a place that brings together many people from all walks of life for a wide range of activities during the week and for worship and prayer. We don’t claim to have all the answers and we’re not perfect, but we desire to serve God and reach out to all in our community.

We at YC+ are committed to creating sustainable wellness. We offer person-centered care to help people get healthy and keep them healthy. Our practitioners use a variety of modalities such as Holistic Sports Therapy & Remedial Massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Psychological Therapy, Counselling, Acupuncture, Prenatal-Care, Reiki, and Mindfulness. We consider the uniqueness of each person and how both internal and external factors impact functioning. We encourage our clients to become pro-active in their own health and partner with them as they journey towards true health and optimal wellness.

We teach yoga classes and private yoga in and around Twyford near Reading, Berkshire. All abilities welcome. Easily accessible from Woodley, Sonning, Charvil, Wargrave, Ruscombe, Hare Hatch, Hurst, Waltham St. Lawrence and East Reading.

Yoga asanas (postures) taught in a holistic way, in conjunction with pranayama (breathing techniques), bring health to and maintain mobility in the body, helping to de-stress and focus the mind.

Sumita is qualified as a Yoga Therapist with Yoga Biomedical Trust and as a Yoga Teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga. She is also a Reiki Master and Bio-Energy Therapist.

My intention was to create a peaceful, holistic, homely and yet professional space in which to share my yoga passion and interest (see studio). Although the studio can take up to 18 students, we like to keep classes small and intimate and most have around 8 to 12 attendees.

At its most basic form, Yogic exercise is very effective at stretching out the body and working core muscles, increasing flexibility and strengthening the body generally and can help enhance sports performance and endurance (eg golf, tennis football). Equally as we get older, doing regular yoga based exercise helps maintain and improve flexibility and strength.

Yoga is for everyone. No-one is too young, old, big, little, inflexible or injured. This is my aim in all my classes. Yoga is for YOU . I am a Yoga Alliance registered teacher teaching Hatha yoga classes with hints of Vinyasa flow, Anusara and Sivananda traditions. Classes will include asana, pranayama, meditation and laughter.
